Broccoli, 1 large head
- Combine water, salt, and cayenne pepper in a small bowl.
- Remove florets from stalk of broccoli and set aside. Remove rough edges from stalk and fully peel. Cut peeled stalk in half and slice crosswise into 1/4 inch pieces.
- Cut florets into quarters.
- Heat oil over medium heat in large pan.
- Add stalks to pan and fry for 2 minutes. Do not stir.
- Add florets and stir once. Fry for 1-2 minutes.
- Mix water bowl, stir dish and add water to dish. Immedietly cover and fry for 2 minutes.
- Remove cover and stir. Fry until excess liquid cooks off.
- 2 medium broccolis ≈ 1 large broccoli
- Florets should become a brighter green and slightly fried when finished cooking.
